Job Description:

Working as a cashier at WingStop involves accurately accepting and transmitting orders to the kitchen staff. Seamless communication with team members and kitchen personnel is essential for ensuring the timely processing of customer orders. Cashiers also play a role in managing their cash drawers, addressing customer inquiries, and exchanging food items when needed. This position requires individuals to exhibit strong teamwork skills due to the fast-paced and demanding environment, highlighting the importance of fostering positive relationships with both coworkers and patrons.

Vital Job Functions:

The crucial duties and tasks that are necessary for a job:

• Extend friendly salutations and welcome guests entering the restaurant or calling in for reservations.
• Place orders for customers both in-store and over the phone, suggest add-ons, and have a good grasp of menu items, sauce descriptions, new entries, and promotional events.
• Perform transactions for cash, credit card, and gift card payments accurately and ensure age verification for alcohol sales.
• Help customers with their inquiries and propose recommended items from the menu.
• Validate that all orders undergo review within the Company's stipulated quote response times.
• Check that all wings are presented neatly and go through each order with attention to detail before serving it to the customer(s).
• Wrap up the register balancing at the close of your shift and deliver the total before the start of the upcoming shift.
• Help in maintaining a professional setting by ensuring that the Front of House area is always clean and stocked.
• Abide by safety and sanitation guidelines to promote safety at work and practice secure handling methods.
• Uphold a professional and neat appearance following the company's Uniform Standards to convey a sense of professionalism
• Assist customers in addressing their concerns and escalate complaints to the manager when necessary, striving to leave customers with a positive and lasting impression of WINGSTOP.

Key Skills/Abilities:

• Adept at using computerized POS registers and skilled in managing sales transactions through technology.
• Exhibit proficiency in cash management techniques.
• Sustaining professionalism, politeness, and reliability even under demanding circumstances.
• Having outstanding people skills and a strong sense of accountability is a must.

Additional Information:

• Experience in handling transactions and serving in restaurants is a positive
• Holding a Food Handler Certification is a prerequisite
