Role and Responsibilities:
As a City Letter Carrier, you will deliver mail to residential and business addresses on an assigned route, providing dependable service and maintaining USPS�s reputation for reliability and trust.
- Sort, organize, and prepare mail for timely delivery
- Deliver letters, packages, and other mail items to designated locations on foot or by vehicle
- Collect outgoing mail from customers and secure postage when necessary
- Ensure the accurate and safe handling of mail and packages
- Maintain accountability for all mail assigned to the route
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to questions and offering assistance when needed
- Adhere to safety protocols and USPS guidelines at all times
Required Skills and Experience:
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Good physical condition and ability to walk long distances and lift packages up to 70 lbs
- Valid state driver�s license and a safe driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in delivery, courier services, or logistics
- Familiarity with handheld scanning devices and route-tracking tools
- Basic understanding of postal regulations and procedures
