PREREQUISITES:
Education: Having finished a level of schooling that is comparable to high school.
Experience & Skills: Prior experience is not a prerequisite; however, candidates must show competence in following written and verbal directives.
Physical: Candidates should be flexible to work in any part of the restaurant as required and be proficient in operating a computerized POS system or cash register. The role involves tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for the duration of the work shift. Applicants should be capable of regularly lifting 10 pounds and occasionally up to 30 pounds.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcomes customers warmly and ensures their orders are prepared promptly and accurately in a pleasant manner.
- Shows mastery of the menu options and delivers accurate explanations to customers.
- Operates a Point of Sale system or cash register to register the order and determine the total amount owed. Collects payment from customers and gives back any change due.
- The Cash-In Procedure is enacted to monitor and document all transactions made in the form of money or its equivalents.
- Executes culinary tasks in an organized manner, ensuring adherence to the prescribed formula, and timely completion.
- Evaluates the goods in the sandwich unit zone and replenishes them as needed to keep an appropriate stock level throughout the shift.
- Understands and observes the appropriate protocols for food handling, safety, and sanitation while cooking, serving, and completing post-meal clean-up.
- Cleans and upkeeps various areas of the restaurant to ensure a well-groomed and sanitary ambiance.
- Recognizes and complies with the quality standards, formulas, and procedures outlined in the SUBWAY® Operations Manual.
- Adheres to the requirements for maintaining a professional appearance and grooming level in accordance with the SUBWAY® Operations Manual.
- Executes minor administrative paperwork as allocated.
- Finishes the University of SUBWAY® courses according to guidelines.
