Fulfillment Center Supervisor:

As part of their role, distribution center operations supervisors must coordinate with other departments, such as shipping, receiving, and inventory control

Full time fulfillment:

We need full-time associates who are available to work varying shifts, which could include weekends and/or nighttime hours.

What you'll do:

As part of PetSmart's supply chain leadership team, the Operations Supervisor role is integral and spans across several business units, including orderfill, replenishment, and shipping/receiving:

• To effectively manage a team of 30, a manager must have a deep understanding of each employee's strengths and weaknesses and be able to tailor their leadership style accordingly
• Enhancing Organizational Performance and Talent through Effective Management
• Emphasizing a data-centric approach to optimize operational performance and resource utilization
• Articulating daily targets, recognizing successes, and pinpointing important areas that demand attention
• Leaders who are able to embrace change and take a proactive approach to team management are more likely to achieve success and maintain a competitive advantage
• There should be a clear set of safety guidelines and protocols that the supervisor communicates to their team. This will ensure that everyone understands and follows the correct safety procedures
• Assessing a candidate's cultural fit within the organization is just as important as analyzing their technical abilities when interviewing for roles within the DCs
• To communicate effectively with high-level management, an employee must demonstrate an awareness of the business's larger goals and philosophy
• Improving workflow with the assistance of computers, technology and RF guns

Moving and grooving:

The fast-paced environment of our DCs means you will be continuously on the move. As well as your assignments, please be mindful of the following physical prerequisites:

• Possessing the physical capability to flex, twist, elongate, shove, pull, and carry goods, while being able to lift up to 50-75 lbs.
• Equipped with the stamina to stand or walk for up to 12 hours comfortably
• Before operating powered industrial equipment, such as walkies, reach trucks, and stand-ups, one must have the willingness and capability to do so. Nevertheless, the individual must receive adequate training and safety requirements before undertaking any such tasks
• It is vital for employees to stay hydrated and wear appropriate clothing when working in hot temperatures to prevent heat exhaustion
