Role and Responsibilities:
As a Delivery Specialist, you will ensure the accurate and efficient delivery of mail and packages while adhering to USPS guidelines and maintaining exceptional customer service. You will operate postal vehicles and manage delivery routes with attention to detail and professionalism.
- Sort and prepare mail for delivery based on assigned routes
- Deliver mail and packages to residences and businesses in a timely and accurate manner
- Operate USPS vehicles safely and follow established delivery procedures
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
- Provide courteous and responsive service to USPS customers
- Report delays, issues, or safety hazards promptly to supervisors
Required Skills and Experience:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 70 pounds
- High attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in delivery services or logistics
- Familiarity with USPS routes and postal procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
