Role and Responsibilities:
As a Postal Logistics Associate, you will support USPS operations by ensuring accurate handling, sorting, and movement of packages and mail. You will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of logistics operations.
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages accurately and efficiently
- Operate mail processing equipment and conveyor systems
- Load and unload mail trucks and ensure proper routing of packages
- Maintain records of shipments and track mail flow to ensure timely delivery
- Inspect mail items for damage and ensure compliance with USPS regulations
- Collaborate with other postal staff to maintain workflow and resolve logistical issues
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and postal handling procedures
Required Skills and Experience:
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 70 lbs repeatedly
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in operating mail sorting and logistics equipment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or postal operations
- Familiarity with USPS handling systems and safety protocols
