We are in search of an energetic individual to work with us as a sandwich artist

But first... what is a Sandwich Artist The Sandwich Artist is the face of our brand. They are responsible for greeting and serving guests, preparing food, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and handling light paperwork. Exceptional customer service is a fundamental of this position.

PREREQUISITES:

Education: Having finished a level of schooling that is comparable to high school.

Experience & Skills: Having previous experience is not obligatory, but the ability to grasp written and spoken instructions is required.

Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interacts with guests in a cheerful and supportive way, making them feel welcome and valued as they place their orders.
• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the menu items and conveys them accurately to guests.
• Utilizes a Point of Sale (POS) system or cash register to register the purchase and calculate the total cost. Accepts payment from customers and provides any necessary change.
• Execution of the Cash-In Procedure ensures accurate tracking of money and financial instruments received within a specific timeframe.
• Arranges ingredients systematically, prepares dishes according to the set recipe, and serves them on time.
• Checks products in the sandwich unit location and adds more items when needed to maintain a steady supply throughout the shift.
• Appreciates and adheres to the necessary standards for food handling, safety, and hygiene during food preparation, service, and clean-up.
• Engages in cleaning and managing all sections of the restaurant to ensure a spotless presentation.
• Grasps and adheres to all quality standards, formulas, and procedures as delineated in the SUBWAY® Operations Manual.
• Complies with the standards for professional appearance and grooming articulated in the SUBWAY® Operations Manual.
• Completes minor administrative tasks as required.
• Meets the requirements for the University of SUBWAY® courses.
