Role and Responsibilities:
As an USPS Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of mail and packages along assigned routes. You will help ensure timely deliveries and maintain the integrity of the USPS brand.
- Operate USPS vehicles to transport mail and packages on designated routes
- Load and unload containers and trays of mail and parcels
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Follow safety regulations and company procedures at all times
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of items to customers or USPS facilities
- Maintain clear and accurate delivery and route logs
Required Skills and Experience:
- Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and handle packages weighing up to 70 lbs
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in commercial or delivery driving roles
- Familiarity with USPS routes, regulations, or protocols
- Certification in defensive driving or DOT compliance
