Role and Responsibilities:
As a Route Mail Carrier, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting mail on a fixed route while maintaining efficiency and adherence to USPS standards. Your daily duties will involve interacting with the public, handling mail securely, and navigating your assigned delivery route with accuracy.
- Deliver and collect mail and packages along a prescribed route
- Sort and prepare mail prior to departure
- Operate a postal vehicle safely and responsibly
- Scan and track mail accurately using USPS equipment
- Ensure proper delivery and pick-up of mail from residential and commercial locations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any irregularities
- Provide customer service support when needed, including answering delivery-related questions
Required Skills and Experience:
- Valid state driver�s license with a safe driving record
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and walk or drive for extended periods
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
- Ability to work independently and follow established routes and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in delivery services, courier roles, or logistics
- Familiarity with handheld scanning devices and mobile route navigation tools
