Mailroom Specialist

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Mailroom Specialist, you will be responsible for handling the daily operations of the mailroom with precision and efficiency. You will support internal and external communication by processing incoming and outgoing mail and maintaining timely distribution throughout the facility.

• Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, and interdepartmental correspondence
• Prepare outgoing mail, including labeling, weighing, and applying proper postage
• Operate mailroom equipment such as postage meters, scanners, and sorting machines
• Track and document mailroom activity and delivery confirmations
• Maintain organized mailroom systems and supplies inventory
• Coordinate with couriers and USPS personnel to ensure timely delivery and pickup
• Ensure compliance with internal mailing procedures and security protocols

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling mail and documentation
• Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs
• Proficiency in using standard office and mailroom equipment
• Basic computer literacy for tracking and data entry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a mailroom or logistics environment
• Familiarity with USPS mailing procedures and regulations
