Role and Responsibilities:

As a Part-time Mail Processor, you will play a key role in the mail distribution process, ensuring timely and accurate handling of incoming and outgoing mail. You will work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment to support USPS's daily operations.

• Sort and organize mail by type, destination, and processing method
• Operate automated mail processing machinery and manual sorting equipment
• Scan barcodes and track mail flow to ensure accurate routing
• Load and unload mail containers and transport mail within processing centers
• Verify and inspect mail for accuracy and damage
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
• Follow operational procedures and USPS regulations regarding mail handling

Required Skills and Experience:

• Ability to lift packages and mail sacks up to 70 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in sorting tasks
• Comfortable working in a physically active and fast-paced environment
• Availability to work flexible part-time hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a mailroom, warehouse, or logistics environment
• Familiarity with USPS sorting systems or similar mail processing equipment
