Job Description:

The Assistant Bakery Manager at Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) collaborates with the Bakery Manager and team members to craft excellent cakes, maintain a pleasant ambiance, and provide exceptional customer service. They share leadership responsibilities and work with the Bakery Manager to drive sales, sustain profitability, oversee daily operations, and ensure that all aspects of the bakery operation meet NbC standards. This role is integral in championing the NbC culture, upholding core values, and embodying the essence of the brand for both team members and customers.

Accountabilities/Duties:

• Gives top priority to enhancing the guest experience, exemplifies outstanding guest interactions, and nurtures a supportive work environment.
• Acts as a partner to the Bakery Manager, playing a crucial role in supervising the overall customer experience, cake development, branding and product exhibition, working environment, and inventory regulation.
• Works alongside the Bakery Manager to recruit, train, and supervise team members, delegate daily tasks, and offer advice and coaching on performance.
• Oversees the adherence to NbC product, service, bakery environment, and visual merchandising criteria to ensure consistency and compliance with food safety regulations and NbC operational procedures.
• Helps the Bakery Manager in performing operational and administrative duties, including creating production schedules for cakes, setting goals for productivity, scheduling the team, ordering supplies, generating sales and labor reports, handling basic accounting tasks, managing expenses, and processing payroll.
• Helps to jointly supervise the handling of customized order fulfillment using web-based solutions and email interactions for individual visitors, organizational accounts, and sizeable, intricate shipping procedures.
• Collaborates in overseeing the commencement and conclusion of bakery shifts, including responsibilities like reconciling cash registers and depositing money into the bank.
• Plays a role in executing marketing strategies in the community by facilitating and participating in special events aimed at strengthening the brand presence.
• Keeps up-to-date with the expertise needed for all bakery roles and is ready to undertake different responsibilities as required by the business.

Meeting the mandatory requirements in education, certifications, and work history is a must:

• A high school diploma or GED is a minimum requirement, while pursuing post-secondary education can be advantageous.
• Demonstrated history of engaging with customers for a period of 1 to 3 years in a retail, dining, or food service sector, with a preference for a lead position involving developing managerial skills.
• Demonstrated achievement in forming an outstanding guest encounter and coaching peers to emulate the same, educating incoming team members, leading the tasks of others, and reaching productivity milestones.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook at a basic level, coupled with an openness to mastering fresh technological advancements.

Work Availability:

The ability to work a range of shifts, like early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, is necessary to align with the fluctuating requirements of the business.

• Hours of Work: The Manager position is a full-time position and operates within the normal business hours of Nothing Bundt Cakes and might also requires work outside of such normal business hours, as the job duties demand. The salaried position requires a minimum of 42 hours worked per week during non-holiday weeks and all months excluding November and December. Any week leading up to and including holidays require a minimum of 55 hours per week in-bakery at any location in need of additional support. Work on Saturdays is required when necessary, primarily during holiday weeks.
