Role and Responsibilities:
As a Retail Office Associate, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers, handling a variety of postal retail services with professionalism and efficiency. You will support the overall retail operation through customer service, transaction processing, and organizational duties.
- Assist customers with mailing and shipping services
- Sell stamps, packaging, and other retail products
- Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems
- Handle inquiries and provide information about postal services
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- Maintain clean and organized retail space
- Support inventory control and restocking of retail items
- Follow USPS protocols and maintain security standards
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on communication and problem-solving
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with using computer systems or retail POS systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Attention to detail and reliability in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a retail, clerical, or postal service role
- Familiarity with USPS products, services, and procedures
- Multilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base
