Responsibilities:

• Provide extraordinary pet grooming services, such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, bathing, brushing, cutting, and styling, following breed standards and catering to pet parents' requirements.
• Operate and maintain crucial grooming equipment such as razors, combs, and blow dryers to ensure safety and comfort of the pet.
• The secret to providing consistently excellent pet grooming services lies in following and implementing Petco's grooming policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Observe pets carefully to recognize any evidence of uneasiness, disease, or wound, and alert pet owners and store management expeditiously when necessary.
• Understanding and addressing the specific needs of each pet is essential, keeping in mind variables like their coat texture, skin quality, and temperament.
• Improve your customer satisfaction by attentively hearing out the requests of pet owners, suggesting suitable grooming options, and addressing any issues or queries they may pose.
• Teach pet owners about the importance of regular grooming sessions to promote their pet's good health. Emphasize that grooming offers a way to remove dirt and debris, which can cause infections or other health problems.
• Work together with colleagues to cultivate a supportive and encouraging workplace atmosphere for all staff.

Qualifications:

• My experience in the grooming industry has helped me to build a strong portfolio of successful grooming work and establish myself as a professional within the industry.
• Dog breeds vary widely in size, demeanor, health issues, and grooming needs, making it essential to have specific knowledge of the breed of the dog you own.
• The capacity to deliver consistent breed-specific groomings, haircuts, and styles.
• Proficiency in handling grooming tools and gear, and ensuring their safe and effective use.
• Exceptional communication proficiency, encompassing both verbal and written communication, to interact confidently and professionally with pet owners and colleagues.
• Unwavering dedication to precision in delivering grooming services, ensuring excellence at every turn.
• Ability to maintain physical stamina while standing, handling, and grooming pets of varying sizes and shapes.
• To groom pets correctly, essential elements such as compassion and patience come into play, ensuring they are at ease, safe, and comfortable throughout the process.
• Successful candidates must be able to work flexible shifts as determined by the grooming schedule and customer demand, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
