But first... what is a Sandwich Artist The Sandwich Artist is the face of our brand. They are responsible for greeting and serving guests, preparing food, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and handling light paperwork. Exceptional customer service is a fundamental of this position.

PREREQUISITES:
Education: Attending a program that mirrors the content covered in traditional high school curricula.
Experience & Skills: Prior experience is not obligatory, but candidates must showcase proficiency in understanding instructions delivered in written and verbal forms.
Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a positive and friendly demeanor while welcoming guests and attending to their orders promptly.
- Exhibits a deep understanding of the menu items and describes them with precision when interacting with guests.
- Utilizes a Point of Sale system or cash register to input the purchase details and compute the final bill. Receives payment from guests and provides the necessary change.
- The process entails accounting for cash, checks, and other monetary items collected throughout the working hours.
- Ensures that dishes are neatly arranged, made as per the standard procedure, and delivered promptly.
- Inspects the items in the sandwich unit zone and adds more as necessary to guarantee a satisfactory quantity during the shift.
- Comprehends and follows correct procedures for food handling, safety, and sanitation while preparing, serving, and tidying up after meals.
- Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with the prescribed 3-step procedure for maintaining cleanliness.
- Shows understanding of and abides by all quality regulations, formulas, and processes detailed in the SUBWAY® Operations Manual.
- Abides by the guidelines for maintaining a professional appearance and grooming as set forth in the SUBWAY® Operations Manual.
- Handles minimal paperwork tasks as given.
- Successfully concludes the University of SUBWAY® educational modules.
