Offer outstanding and courteous service to all customers of PETCO and their adorable pets. Identify their needs and apply your product knowledge to suggest appropriate merchandise and services to fulfill those requirements.
Be well-versed in the array of resources and events featuring pets available in the surrounding area, such as adoption drives, training seminars, and animal rescue organizations.
Express a strong dedication to the welfare of animals and uphold integrity in your work environment.
Gain proficiency in all the current products and services to have an effective conversation with customers about their unique features and advantages.
Duly attend to phone calls related to product, price, and service queries through polite and professional handling that assures customers of correct information.
Create a positive workplace environment where everyone is valued, treated with respect, and everyone's voices are heard.
Educate our guests about our Think Adoption First philosophy and encourage them to participate in our upcoming adoption events.
Knowing the diverse talents and proficiencies of the team members is crucial to ensure that customers are assigned to the most suitable partner for a satisfying experience.
Stay well-informed about the current promotions and unique services available.
Be knowledgeable about seasonal training programs like pet safety in the summer, holiday sales, and flea and tick prevention, when appropriate.
Perform ancillary duties and exclusive tasks in accordance with the directives given by the officials.
Evaluate customer inquiries and, if necessary, direct them to the Leader on Duty.
Meet the physical demands of the job, which include lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods, up to 50 pounds as required.
Utilizing selling behaviors is the core component of providing an exceptional customer experience in our Pet Care Locations.

Requirements: At minimum, possesses two years of experience in providing public information on animal nutrition, care/wellness/treatment knowledge areas. Familiarity with the grooming salon program certification (PETCO Promise, Pet Stylist Mentor Program, Canine Heritage Breed Test, Pet First Aid) is desirable
Acquaintance with the dog training classes provided by the PCCs and their schedule.
Familiarity with the scheduling of PCCs' photography and vaccination sessions.
The position mostly entails indoor work, but an employee may need to go outside briefly for tasks such as product restocking and customer assistance. Job requirements involve physical effort, such as standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds when necessary. The job is heavily focused on Pet Care Advisor and requires regular interaction with customers.
