But first... what is a Sandwich Artist The Sandwich Artist is the face of our brand. They are responsible for greeting and serving guests, preparing food, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and handling light paperwork. Exceptional customer service is a fundamental of this position.

PREREQUISITES:

Education: Fulfilling the educational standards expected at the high school level.

Experience & Skills: While experience is not compulsory, applicants must display capability in comprehending instructions provided through both written and verbal means.

Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains a positive and friendly demeanor while welcoming guests and attending to their orders promptly.
• Demonstrates expertise in the menu offerings and accurately communicates them to diners.
• Documents the order using a Point of Sale system or cash register and calculates the total cost. Accepts payment from patrons and provides change where necessary.
• The Cash-In Procedure is enacted to monitor and document all transactions made in the form of money or its equivalents.
• Adheres to a structured method of food preparation, in accordance with the specified guidelines, and without delay.
• Checks products in the sandwich unit location and adds more items when needed to maintain a steady supply throughout the shift.
• Acknowledges and follows the proper guidelines for food handling, safety, and cleanliness when cooking, serving, and tidying up after meals.
• Engages in cleaning and managing all sections of the restaurant to ensure a spotless presentation.
• Understands and follows all quality standards, formulas, and procedures as specified in the SUBWAY® Operations Manual.
• Adheres to the requirements for maintaining a professional appearance and grooming level in accordance with the SUBWAY® Operations Manual.
• Manages light paperwork assignments as provided.
• Completes the University of SUBWAY® coursework as directed.
