A position is open for an outgoing sandwich artist to be a part of our team

But first... what is a Sandwich Artist The Sandwich Artist is the face of our brand. They are responsible for greeting and serving guests, preparing food, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and handling light paperwork. Exceptional customer service is a fundamental of this position.

PREREQUISITES:

Education: Achieving the educational milestones equivalent to finishing high school.

Experience & Skills: Although prior experience is not a strict requirement, candidates should have a demonstrated ability to understand instructions given in written and verbal formats.

Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Welcomes customers warmly and ensures their orders are prepared promptly and accurately in a pleasant manner.
• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the menu items and conveys them accurately to guests.
• Operates a Point of Sale system or cash register to input the order and determine the total bill amount. Receives payment from patrons and dispenses change as needed.
• The Cash-In Procedure involves documenting all currencies and forms of payment received throughout the shift.
• Implements a methodical approach to food preparation, adhering to guidelines, and completing tasks promptly.
• Examines the goods in the sandwich unit area and refills them as required to keep a proper stock level throughout the duration of the shift.
• Recognizes and sticks to the established protocols for food handling, safety, and sanitation when cooking, serving, and cleaning up after meals.
• Maintains a neat and hygienic environment throughout the restaurant to project a polished impression.
• Displays comprehension and adherence to the quality benchmarks, formulas, and procedures outlined in the SUBWAY® Operations Manual.
• Adheres to the requirements for maintaining a professional appearance and grooming level in accordance with the SUBWAY® Operations Manual.
• Deals with small paperwork responsibilities as designated.
• Successfully finishes the University of SUBWAY® curriculum as required.
